Amnesia : a Machine for Pigs [ Upcoming Title ]

 Being the big fan of Amnesia that I am , I am sicked as shit for this upcoming title . Frictional Games and TheChineseRoom are working on the 2nd Amnesia . I am not certain of the actual release date of the game, but I have heard rumors of it being released SEPTEMBER 2012 . Inside information from Game Developers interviews state that this game will not be as scary as the first one "Amnesia : The Dark Descent" . I for one hope it will be even scarier, however : making it less scary will attract a much larger fan / player base to the actual game . Nothing bad with that, but still I want it to creep me under my desk .

"Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs is set in 1899 and follows the “wealthy industrialist” Oswald Mandus, who has returned home from “a disastrous expedition to Mexico, which has ended in tragedy.” Struck by a destructive fever, Mandus is haunted by dreams of a dark machine until he mysteriously regains consciousness. Months have passed unbeknownst to the industry tycoon and emerging from his slumber the roaring engine of a mysterious machine sputters to life."

                               FRICTIONAL GAMES : AMNESIA : THE DARK DESCENT

      A huge title in the past years and still to an amazing game to the present day, Amnesia is a beautiful, well scripted, breath-taking horror game . What makes me call this game breath-taking is the fact that there is no way of fighting the terrors that hunt you down . Well, you can barricade the doors and throw boxes and chairs at them, but that's not really of help to you . Barricades and objects only slow the enemy down, but they don't prevent it from getting you and tearing you apart .
      Amnesia takes place in what I believe it to be medieval times in a fantasy universe . The protagonist's name is Daniel . You are trying to find a certain person that caused you harm . The only problem is that you drank a potion that erases your memory . You find yourself laying on the floors of a castle , tracing down pages of your own diary in order to rebuild your memory and find out what happened . This fact right here makes the game very interesting .
       The Game's ambient sound and surroundings take's gaming to a whole new level of "Scary" I am telling you don't know horror games until you play this . I recommend Amnesia to any horror fan, however I do not recommend it to the weak of heart . Full of "jump-scares" , hell... even wondering thru the castle with no monsters around makes you want to hide in a closet .
        One of the best things I have noticed in the game is the fact that in complete darkness, Daniel starts having hallucinations . Only having a light source nearby keeps Daniel's sanity stable . If the protagonist's sanity gets dangerously low , it makes him easier to spot for monster and it gets him in danger of fainting . Also looking at monsters and witnessing unsettling events throws Daniel's sanity of the meter .

       So , yeah. There you have it . Horror fan ? BUY THIS GAME DUDE ! .

               EA GAMES : SKATE 3

     Now this, is an outstanding , realistic and insane co-operative skateboarding game .
     Skate 3's controls let you be creative . They let you in charge of the way the board is flipping and the way the player is twisting , rotating , falling and even the way your character is behaving . Skate's game-play doesn't only amaze the player with realistic falls , scenery , parks and character wardrobe ; It also makes the player's brain shit itself with the way the game can be manipulated .
A single little twitch of the stick in the wrong direction can be the difference between life and death . I personally finished the story-line almost four times now. This game's amazingly realistic game-play still makes my eyes pop out . Imagine you have a bar of soap and a butter knife . The possibilities are endless . Anything can be done , and that bar of soap you just sculpted up into something original was just one single trick ... and you have limitless bars of soap .
          Excuse my language , but this game kicks so much ass I can't even describe it into words . Any kind of gamer would enjoy something like this . The City map is HUGE . You literarlly have an entire city at your disposal , full of skateparks , streets , skate spots , pools and what not .
          The single-player career gives you the oportunity of starting a skateboarding team and get from nothing to the very top of Port Carverton .
          The multiplayer gameplay is just... WOW ! My first thoughts when this other guy pulls an insane trick over my head were "what have I been playing all this time?" . A server can hold up to 15 players, which can team up against eachother in contests or simply skate freely .
       
             SKATE 3 TAKES THE CAKE !
